ALIE-ED saved ground while working way forward to the stretch, assumed command when settling for the drive and, strongly handled, lasted to hold SWEET MURAL safe. The latter, forwardly placed and racing evenly to the stretch, closed strongly under punishment, but could not overtake the winner. FORCE OF ARMS began slowly, saved ground early, -but was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. DR. MILTON H. tired atfer showing early speed. JULIANS JOY raced prominently until inside the stretch, then gave way when challenged by ALIE-ED. BIG HEARTED had a rough race. BARSHOE quit after displaying early speed. KASLICK. outrun to the last three-eighths mile, closed willingly under punishment but could not get to the winner. OMABERRY gave a good effort and had no mishap. ISOCRATES, next to the inner rail from the beginning, was unable to reach serious contention when set down through the stretch. McCOSH went to the front early, set the pace until inside the stretch, then gave way when challenged by BLENDID MUSIC. RAPID MAIL tired. JUNIORS ACE, rough at the post, raced well to the stretch but fatted to stay. GINNY WIN, fractious inside the stall gate before the start, was never prominent in the running.
