TOP AGAIN, alertly ridden, took command early, entered the stretch with a clear lead but was vigorously handled during the drive to withstand SECOND STORY. The latter, forwardly placed from the start, closed strongly next to the inner rail but could not overtake the winner. TIGER FLAME, on the outside to the stretch, was unable to reach the top pair when set down in the drive. TU0SIX, racing greenly for three-eighths mile, finished well and probably need his race. COLONEL JETT had no mishap. GRAND K. raced nearest TOP AGAIN to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive. RADIANT FOX was never dangerous. NUMERICAL was outrun. COASTAL GOLD began sluggishly. The latter raced nearest OVERWHELM from the start, finished strongly, but could not overtake the winner. NOT JOE moved up boldly in the early stretch and closed with a rush, but could not get to the top pair. LIEBESKIND raced evenly and had no mishap. JUNIOR began poorly. TOM A BOMB on the outside throughout, was never dangerous. BULL SHOALS tired after showing early speed. SONG OF ITALY had a rough race. CHANCE CLOUD raced wide. SHANE, never far back and saving ground, went to the front approaching the stretch but was unable to hold the winner, although much the best of the others. SWAMP SON began fast set the pace for a ha f mile, then faltered when challenged by SHANE. THISTLE WAR was outrun. BUTTON SHOES disliked the sloppy track and failed to stay after displaying early speed. SHELBY LANE was through after a half mile. Swamp Son claimed by Mrs. R. L. Reineman. PRANDIUM, caught in close quarters in the jam leaving the upper turn, made up ground when clear and finished strongly in the middle of the track. GOLD FLASH, in tight quarters to the stretch, could not get to the leaders when clear for the drive. STAR K. failed to stay after displaying early speed. HILL BOOTS was outrun. LAMOUR had speed for a half mile, then gave way. WAR DOLLAR began fast, struck a horses heels leaving the upper turn, was taken up sharply to avoid a fall and failed to recover after the mishap. SHY GUY saved ground while in hand to the stretch, was taken out slightly for the drive and, closing strongly under good handling, wore down RAINTREE and won going away. RAINTREE, a keen factor from the outset, took command when settled for the stretch run and continued willingly but could not stay with the winner. BIG STRETCH, away sluggishly and outrun to the last quarter mile, closed fast in the middle of the track. CHOMBRO, never far back, faltered during the drive. -SPUNKY raced wide. A-PACOPEP was never dangerous. JET ACE began alertly but could not handle the sloppy track and failed to stay. BLACK BANTAM, partial to the sloppy track, gradually improved position to the stretch, responded willingly when hard urged during the drive and wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth mile. CLICK-CLICK, a keen factor from the start, raced with EXPLOITATION to the final furlong, reached the lead between calls, but was unable to hold the top one, although easily best of the others. MAIL FROM HOME passed tired horses during the stretch run. GRANITE FLYN tired during the final furlong. LONOKE FLASH, on the outside from the beginning, was forced extremely wide at the stretch turn and could not threaten the leaders when straightened for the drive. EXPLOITATION went to the front early, set the pace to the last eighth while engaging CLICK-CLICK, then gave way. HELWAN could not handle the sloppy track.
