Circus Clown Given Heavy Garden State Park Impost ■ Veteran Walden Sprinter Faces Speedy Ruthred, Eight Others GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 13. — The Milkman Purse, a six-furlong r dash for seasoned campaigners, takes 5 precedence on the program to be presented I here tomorrow. W. J. Waldens Circus 5 Clown heads the field with a bulky 124 [ pounds. A winning effort and a bang-up second in his two local endeavors suggest [ he deserves top honors, but favoritism is likely to fall to one of his lighter imposted rivals. Circus Clown picks up eight pounds from ! his last race in which he finished second by a length and a half to Elias G. and, in turn, defeated C E. Bakers Giggle by a head j and Mrs. E. Mucklers Ruthred an additional 10 lengths. Neither Circus Clown or Giggle appeared j to have any excuse in that event. Giggle e looms boldly again tomorrow, but he picks s up seven pounds and must start from a a more unfavorable outside post position. Ruthred is the one who seems to have e the most advantage. He suffered interference, - plus a loss of ground racing on the e outside, but finished very fast. He drops s one pound from the race, receiving nine e pounds from Circus Clown and eight from a Giggle. John L. McKnight has an entry y of two speed-balls to represent his colors, ;, a a e - e s e a y ;, Play Toy and Office Party. The former was beaten off by Circus Clown and the others last week, but his high early speed is dependable and many will be expecting him to go all the way tomorrow, Also threatening is the New York in- vader, Winship. The Mary G. Christmas - owned racer finished fourth for 0,000 in his last out on May 6.
