CEDAR LANE was lightly reserved vying with ANTHONY V., put that one away when ready and drew out handily. ANTHONY C. began alertly, could not stay with the winner in the drive, but was clearly best of the others. WATCH IT GROW raced into contention from the outside early, but lacked a rally. MISS MARILEE, outrun to the stretch, found sufficient room in the drive and closed willingly. PAGE PUG weakened. GUIDED ROCKET improved position while saving ground. IRWIN W. was outrun. KEEPING POSTED established a clear lead soon after the start, then raced along evenly and maintained his advantage under pressure. FLYING WEATHER saved ground while outrun and closed fast in the stretch drive. DIDAPPER, unable to contend racing between horses, came to the outside in the final stages and closed fast. PHARAS BEAUTY broke slowly, was taken to the inside and steadily made up ground in the drive. COLONEL PHIL was hard ridden in pursuit of the winner and faltered. MAI JO was not a factor. CURRENT NEWS could not keep up racing on the outside. NERVE faltered. RUGGED BOY was outrun and lost ground on the outside. MARTYR was under steady pressure, racing in closest pursuit of LAUREL SPRINGS and quickly wore that one down when she faltered in the last stages. LAUREL SPRINGS immediately opened a long lead, raced along easily into the final furlong and suddenly faltered. MIELAISON broke in a tangle, came to the inside at the head of the stretch and closed willingly. HOT PILOT raced prominently placed and held on well. HOOP WISE gave an even effort. ELMOS CHOICE raced forwardly on the outside, challenged the leaders on the stretch turn and gained the decision after a prolonged drive. COTTON GINNY, rated within easy striking distance, wrested a short command under punishment next to the rail in the drive and just failed to last. SILK GUEST was intermittently urged setting the pace, held on well when challenged, but gave way near the end. BOOTS HAVEN rallied mildly on the first turn, but was not gaining at the end. OUR JESTER was outdistanced early. FAIR TRIAD quit. DORIENNE could not reach the pace early and quit. LEBANON LAD was well placed, wore down SEEBIT to take command without need of urging on the stretch turn and continued resolutely to best MIRABEAU. The latter, in hand while a forward factor, had to await clear racing room behind the top pair in the early stretch, then finished gamely. PRIVILEGE moved strongly into contention on the final turn, but could not carry his speed to the end. SEEBIT held a commanding lead under restraint, then faltered when put to pressure. CHARMING WAY outsprinted his rivals under alert handling, opened a long lead on the final turn and lasted while tiring to hold FLYING CIRCUS safe. The latter was under pressure to improve position on the turn, closed fast into the last sixteenth, then was hanging at the end. MAIN BOUT could not reach the pace under urging early, dropped back slightly and was taken out from the rail, then rallied mildly for the drive. STARS SHINE made up some distance late. BANK COAL, allowed to settle in stride, was sent forwardly after five furlongs to open a clear lead for the drive and lasted under punishment to stave off MARKED GAME. The latter, unhurried while far back the opening three furlongs, steadily made up distance thereafter and was getting to the winner at the end. HARPES.. reserved off the pace, could not menace the top pair, but finished willingly to best HIGH BRACKET. The latter easily set the pace to the final turn and faltered. FIGHTING FLEET was outrun.
