Pair of Veteran Wingmen Sign Up With Cardinals The Chicago Cardinals yesterday signed veteran ends Fran Polsfoot and Cliff Anderson for the 1953 season to increase the number of players under contract to 33. Polsfoot, starting his fourth season, was sidelined all of the 1952 campaign by a bad knee. In 1951 he set a Cardinal team record for passes caught with 57. Anderson, a rookie last year, hauled in 11 passes for 191 yards.
