Larry Ellis Gold Cup Nominee HAWTHORNE, Cicero, 111., May 19.— The nomination of the New England star, Larry Ellis, from the stable of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Lingle, has been received for the 5,000 added Hawthorne Gold Cup, it was revealed here today. Larry Ellis has been a crack handicap performer on the New England circuit for several seasons. The Gold Cup will be renewed at the local course on October 17.
