Jack Welch Astride Winners Of Daily Double Events BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio. May 19. — Another Columbus rider, veteran Jack Welch, dominated the riding at Beulah Park today when he accounted for both ends of the Daily Double with Grecian Star in the first race and then came right back in the second race with J. Ryans Frosty Acres to close a 20.80 double for his followers. Welch, who has ridden successfully at tracks from Mexico to western Canada, had Grecian Star along in the last stride to score a narrow neck victory in the opening race as the filly paid .20. Jack had an easier time in the second race as Frosty Acres held a two-length margin at the end of the six-furlong sprint to return 7.44 individually and complete the double.
