One Hitter Works One Mile In 1 .41 25 for Suburban Cap BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 19. — While Greentree Stables Tom Fool and Mrs. Esther duPont Weirs Royal Vale were attracting the most attention in the handicap division these days, there was evidence this morning that a former star may inject himself sharply into the Suburban picture. This is Greentrees little giant killer, One Hitter, who won last years Suburban at the expense of Crafty Admiral and a couple of years ago twice beat Noor after that invader had trounced Citation. One Hitter, who has been on the sidelines since last fall, worked a mile this morning in 1:4125, getting the distance handily. This was the latest in a serious of moves that seem calculated to bring him up to his best form on the afternoon of May 30, which is the date for the Suburban. Royal Vale, who may start in Saturdays Metropolitan mile in favor of the longer Suburban, showed that he has lost none of his speed when he breezed three furlongs in :3625 this morning. The only other prep by a "name" horse this morning was the clever six furlongs of 1:14% turned in by Brookmeade Stables Tritium, who is pointing for the Coaching Club American Oaks. The filly was well in hand throughout the trial.
