Tio Ciro and High Head Top Co-Features at Suffolk Downs SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 19. — A pair of allowance tests have been carded for tomorrows mid-week program, with top billing going to the ,000 mile and a sixteenth seventh race. Six have been entered in the middle-distance event, with Cherry Oca Stables Tio Ciro, absent since last winter at Hialeah Park, slated to carry the top impost of 115 pounds. Preceding the route affair will be a ,500 six-furlong dash headed by Irving J. Whites High Head, who picks up 119 pounds against his five rivals. Each event is styled for four-year-olds and upward. Tio Ciro outclasses his rivals in the feature, but the peak of his success has been over the grass courses in the country. Participating in numerous stakes events last year, Tio Ciro earned 7,475 in blue ribboned company, winning the Meadowland Handicap on Washington Parks turf course and duplicating the feat in the Absecon Island Handicap, also on the grass, at Atlantic City. Slated to match strides with Tio Ciro tomorrow are Andre, 108. The Minor, 105; Regal, 105; Nola Hash, 103, and Grandma Josie, 98 pounds. High Head should put his fleet speed to good use in the co-featured dash. In last Saturdays Governors Handicap, the Florida-bred son of Grins set a rapid pace for five of the six furlongs before succumbing to the late challenges of Good Shot, Larry Ellis and Sagittarius. Tomorrows rivals, comprised of Royal Marvel, Usual, George W. W., Legate and Royal Duke, do not class with those whom the White ace met in the recent stake.
