AMPHISPIRIT, in front along the inside early, was eased to the outside while allowing INTERPLAY to draw clear leaving the backstretch, then circled that one to regain command and won easily. BY PROXY trailed into the stretch and closed with a rush to wear down ABRACADABRA. The latter lacked a menacing rally. INTERPLAY held a clear lead after a half mile and gave way. MI-MARIGOLD raced within striking distance, but failed to rally when urged, POMPANO moved to the inside to save ground early, but faltered. Overweight Amphispirit, 1 pound.
