Won driving; second and third the same. LIGHT LEWIS bumped with PEEKIN after the start, raced nearest TOP-LATION thereafter and, overcoming interference when the latter drifted out during the stretch run, won in the last seventy yards. TOP-LATION took command at once, entered the stretch with a clear lead and, permitted to drift out during ihe drive, was unable to withstand LIGHT LEWIS. PERMAN raced evenly and had no excuse. STRAWBERRYLANE gave a good effort and had no mishap. PEEKIN bumped with LIGHT LEWIS at the start, dropped back during the run to the first turn and could not enter serious contention thereafter. DIXIE SPY was never prominent. LADY SAMM, fractious at the post, showed nothing in the running. ENGLISH FLIGHT bore out at the initial turn, bothered BLIP, then raced far back. LEASE HOUND went to the front before going a quarter mile, was taken in hand and reserved back of AUGUST until reaching the stretch, then responded to urging and, disposing of the leaders, won going away. MARSE ROBERT, a sharp factor from the start, closed gamely, but was not good enough for the winner. AUGUST went into command before going three-eighths mile, held a short lead when settled in the stretch, then faltered. HOWARD DEAR lacked early speed. PADDY LANE made a bold bid nearing the stretch, then weakened. KINGARVIE could not keep up after showing early speed. ANTELONE showed nothing. FLORAL TRAIL tired. PAMARIS was through early. ALEIF, well handled, raced within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, responded to urging during the drive and was up in the last strides. MISS NAYLOR began fast, was much used racing RENO RED into defeat and held a short lead when settled in the stretch but could not withstand the winner. RENO RED went to the front early, set the pace for a half mile while engaging MISS NAYLOR, then failed to stay. KAYES GOODS raced evenly and had no excuse. PADDOCK lacked early speed. TRIP LIGHTLY went to the front after three-eighths mile, entered the stretch with a good lead but was briskly ridden thereafter to withstand OPOZO. The latter, on the outside to the stretch, closed strongly under brisk handling but could not reach the 5 top one. LITTLE DON G. took command early, set the pace for three-eighths, then faltered when challenged by : the winner. SUNWYN began fast but dropped back after the start and raced evenly. JANES PRIDE lacked t early foot. HEARTLESS LADY could not keep up. COMPENSATOR failed to stay after showing early speed.
