SECO GIRL was outrun to the last furlong, then came strongly in the middle of the track and, flashing past FEIGNED nearing the end, won going away. The latter took a short lead on the inside rounding the stretch turn, but was unable to draw clear and seemed to lug in slightly in the last eighth. CANARY ISLAND, never too far removed, saved ground in the stretch and was in rather tight quarters. SCRATCHIN OFF finished fairly well. ON THE MAKE was in close quarters on the inside in the stretch. BABYS PAL was required to take back in the stretch and came to the outside. BELLESCRIPT was off slowly. MISS CARRIER improved her position on the outside and catching CULTURE, tiring in the stretch, drew into a good lead to be an easy winner. SPANISH ARMADA, close up on the inside early, was taken back when it appeared as if he might get in close quarters and lost all chance for victory, although finishing fairly well. CULTURE had the most early speed but weakened in the stretch. GRACIOUS ONE finished fairly well. BURNT LOOK was never a serious contender. BONNIE INEZ weakened in the stretch. ST. Start good from stall gate. Won handily; second and third driving. MISS BROOK saved ground where possible in the early running and, gaining gradually on HYPOSTYLE after entering the stretch, forged to the front in the last sixteenth to win drawing away. HEAD FOR HOME was badly outrun until too late, then made up ground. HYPOSTYLE drew -into a good lead soon after the start, but had little left for the final run. FEUD tired in the stretch. SIR CHRIS was always closest to the leader and, while unable to keep up with him, turned in a good effort. PIELETTAWAY was required to race rather wide, but went gamely to the end. BRIGHT LIBERTY trailed for half the trip and was unable to find clear passage while making his move, but finally got an opening near the end to finish fast. HOOSIER HAVOC and LE SABRE tired. The latter was wide in the early stage, but came to the inside in the stretch to finish fast. SCRUTINIZED went to the front early to cut out a fair pace, but faltered in th last sixteenth KHALING U. was outrun early, then made a mild move on the - inside at midstretch, but weakened in the final drive. HIGH SCUD, slow to start, trailed the field to the stretch turn approach, then moved on the outside and, although going very wide in the stretch and bearing out slightly near the end, forged to the front to win slowly drawing out. DIXIE FLYER broke in front, raced strongly after being headed by BUGLEDRUMS and topped the latter again in the stretch, but was unable to last. BLENOMAR had no excuse, being close up early and saving ground in the stretch. BUGLEDRUMS weakened in the last sixteenth. BIG STRETCH was closer up than usual in the early running. PIPAROO was unable to keep up with the pacesetters, but made a positive move after entering the stretch to pass REBOUNDER and draw out under mild urging. TELESPEED was also outpaced early and went wide in the stretch, but finished in resolute fashion. REBOUNDER had the most speed and took a clear lead when AGITATE bore out, then held on fairly well in the drive and just failed to save second place. TOMI BLU was going fairly well at the end. VEZLARK broke quickly, but was unable to keep up. SHAKES IMAGE tired. AGITATE was through after bearing out on the stretch turn. TAHITIAN slipped through on the inside nearing the far turn to take command but weakened in the stretch and was doing his best to hold second place. DECAPOLIS moved up after entering the stretch and staged a good finish. SEDGEVIEW was a good contender all the way. CHALLCOTE made up ground on the outside in the stretch. SCREEMIN JACK broke fairly well but soon dropped out of it and was never a factor. Overweight Breadwinner, 4 pounds. NINTH RACE SUBSTITUTE DECLARED OFF.
