1 - 1 Petite Goutte Striving for j j Third Win at Hamilton I Peanut Brier, A Plus Also Seek j j I Glendale for Repeat Victories " By R." E. HURLEY Staff Correspondent HAMILTON, Ohio, Aug. 29. Racing at the Butler County Fair Grounds heads into the final seven days, with post time advanced one hour, to 3 : 00 p. m., for the final week of racing. The fourteenth annual meeting conducted at Hamilton will be concluded on Labor Day and all existing records are virtually certain to tumble if the final week maintains the level that was established, during the first two weeks of racing. Eight routers head the program on Monday in the mile and a sixteenth feature honoring the neighboring community of Glendale as Earl Daniels Petite Goutte attempts to emulate the record of her stable-mate, Ironclad, by extending her win skein to three straight. The Daniels menage has dominated the feature racing at Hamilton this season and Petite Goutte is the hope of the stable in the long range Endurance to be run on Saturday. Petite Goutte was scratched from the Hamilton Special today to fit into the allowance test on Monday and will find Wrong Bid, Peanut Brier, Aristocrat, Ha Whoa, A Plus, Lord Bull and Happy Twist completely within her range. The daughter of Adaris Gentle Play is only a four-year-old and has been improving with every start here after a rather undistinguished summer campaign. Luther Adkins, her regular pilot, will once more be in command. Peanut Brier and A Plus are winners of their last starts, the former at a sprint distance and the latter over the same distance as the Glendale. A Plus is the stronger of the two as he has run very steadily for owner Rodne L. Edens while being ridden almost exclusively by his son, Bobby.. Edens will probably try- to steal the race from Petite Goutte and the gelded son of A One Galloping Lady is capable of going wire to wire. Happy Twist and Wrong Bid have placed at Hamilton and both were victims of tough racing luck which denied them brackets. Their records cannot be overlooked and , they are definitely not overmatched.
