Fiye Narragansett Stakes Close Tuesday at Midnight NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., Aug. 29. Nominations for the live stakes to be decided at the current autumn meeting at Narragansett Park will close Tuesday at midnight. Bill Trundle, now serving as an assistant to racing secretary Ty Shea, will visit the New York courses "next Monday and Tuesday in the interest of the nominations. The stakes that will be run include: Newport stakes, two-year-olds, colts and geldings, September 5, 0,000 added; Roger Williams Handicap, three-year-olds and upward, September 7, 0,000 added; James H. Connors Memorial, two-year-olds, September 12, 0,000 added; Jeanne DArc Stakes, two-year-old fillies, September 16, 0,000 added, and Narragansett Special, three -year-olds and upward, September 19, 0,000 added.
