E. Fitzgerald; bred by H. L. Straus. REACHED POST 6:26. OFF AT 6:26 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. WINDY, never far back, permitted DIAMOND MORAN to set the pace for a mile and a quarter when he moved up along the inside rail to take command. He had plenty left to withstand the closing bid by BOLD KING. The. latter, far back in the early going, moved up steadily after the first mile, passed tired horses and made a belated stretch challenge but could not threaten the winner. KINGS TIP forced the pace all the way and held on well. DIAMOND MORAN led for the greater part of it but had nothing left for the stretch run. The others were outrun.
