EDDIE ARCARO . 1 JOHNNY ADAMS Arcaro and Adams Will Accept Mounts On Wednesdays Card at Randall Park Star Jockeys Coming From t Washington Park for Day; Plan Other Special Events RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, Aug. 29. Two of Americas premier jockeys will make their first appearances at Randall Park next Wednesday when Johnny Adams and Eddie Arcaro will come here from Washington Park to accept mounts for the day. The appearance of Adams and Arcaro will headline the mid-week card in the final week of this successful 44-day meeting. Adams appearance will be something of a homecoming. Johnny rode in Cleveland during his apprentice year, and was a leading rider here. The veteran this year is enjoying one of his best seasons, having captured a lions share of the stakes events at Santa Anita, Arlington Park and Washington Park. Arcaros feats, of course, need no recital here. He is the leading stakes winner of all time and his feat this winter of capturing three 00,000 events at Santa Anita is a record which undoubtedly will stand for many years. , " Arcaro appeared in Cleveland once before, as an apprentice, but all records available indicate he rode only a few races here, and failed to reach the winners circle. Another feature on the closing-week calendar at Randall was announced by president Saul Silberman. In appreciation for the splendid support accorded this and past meetings at Randall, the grandstand gates will be thrown open at 11 a. m. on Tuesday and Thursday of next week and all patrons arriving between 11 a. m. and 1 p. m. will be admitted to the grandstand free of charge. Tuesday has been proclaimed Ladies Day, the first such event here in two years. Ladies will be admitted free to the grandstand on Tuesday regardless of when they arrive at the track.
