Repelled Tips By Jeepers In Feature at Gahsett Trainer Sedlacek and Jockey DeSpirito Haye Four Winners NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., Aug. 29. O. L. Fosters Repelled repeated his triumph of last "Saturday at Rockingham Park, only this time his margin over A. H. Smiths By Jeepers was three parts of a length as he captured the ,500 Watch Hill Purse, todays feature at Nar-ragansett Park. Irving Gushens Arthur S. finished third in the six furlong dash, a length and a half back of the runner-up and a like distance before G. S. Colellas Switch On. Trainer Woody Sedlacek and jockey Tony DeSpirito shared the limelight with four winners in the first six races. Sedlacek "sent his Red Design out to take the opener with DeSpirito aboard then saddled a consecutive triple for J. J. Nash in the fourth, fifth and sixth races, Bob Ussery was the winning rider on Receipt in the fourth, while DeSpirito had the mount on Nashs Special Nurse in the fifth and completed the feat on Dominave in the sixth. DeSpirito also rode Irving Gushens Judys Runner, the winner of the third race. The winning two-year-old son of Depth Charge or Through Bound After Eight, completed the six panels of the Watch Hill in the excellent time of 1:11 and was scoring his third straight triumph. Apprentice Richard Rushworth, who seems to fit the youngster, had a much easier time winning today, taking a good hold down the backstretch and making his move on the outside, avoiding any possible trouble. Installed the choice, Repelled paid .40 to become the fourth favorite of the afternoon to win. A crowd of 19,011 was on hand this hot, sultry afternoon. W. J. Beatties homebred Terry S., who has been racing at Scarborough Downs, was the early pacemaker in the Watch Hill. The son of Bluebeard went head and head with By Jeepers after that latter caught up before reaching the far turn. The Smith gelding had the rail as the two passed the quarter pole and finally edged away from the Beattie representative. At that point, John Willie and Switch On made their moves which failed to reach the leader. Repelled passed the challengers before they could straighten away for the drive and was not unduly punished as he steadily wore down By Jeepers. Passing the sixteenth pole the smooth-running bay was moving away with each stride.
