Weil Appointed Steward For Beulah Park Meeting GROVE CITY, Ohio, Aug. 29. Appointment of Monte Weil as a steward for the 25 -day meeting of running races openings at Beulah Park, Friday, September 11, was announced today by president and general manager Robert J. Dienst. Weil will serve in the stewards stand with Tom Sanford and E. W. "Ted" Strib-ling. Although a veteran of the racing world, the 25-day fall session will mark Weils first appearance at Beulah. A former owner and trainer of thoroughbreds, Weil also serves as a steward at River Downs and Gulfstream Park. Track superintendent C. K. Keller, meanwhile, reported activity in the stable area is on the upswing. First to arrive for the impending session among the owners and trainers was Frank "Red" Wood, who shipped in with three horses from his Indiana farm. Wood has been resting up his stock after a busy spring and summer campaign at Beulah and River Downs.
