LATE BREEZE, well handled, moved up fast to taken command entering the stretch, drifted out during the drive but won going away. SWEET SIXTEEN went to the front early, set the pace for a half mile, but could not stay with LATE BREEZE. PHANTOM HEELS raced evenly and had no mishap. BOLD FOX lacked early speed. STAG was unable to keep up after starting alertly. STATE COACH was never dangerous. THREE SISTERS engaged SWEET SIXTEEN for a half mile, then gave way. PHAROS DREAM showed nothing. GOOD SWEEP was far back throughout. RATAPLAN raced wide and pulled up quite lame. SAVED AGAIN raced next to the inner rail from the start, continued to save ground entering the stretch and, taking command from PIRAGUA, won with speed in reserve. PIRAGUA, never far back, went to the front during the stretch run, bore out under urging and could not stay with SAVED AGAIN. MEMAW, racing between horses from the outset, took command after going a half mile, drifted out with PIRAGUA during the stretch run and faltered near the finish. EAST HILL lacked early foot. PAPA BEAR began fast, raced well for a half mile, then gave way. LEASE HOUND had brief speed. GRANNY D. began fast but failed to stay. HERA LOT raced with CANAAN PASS to the stretch, held a clear lead when settled for the drive, but could not withstand the top one. Ml AMANTE finished strongly and had no mishap. CANAAN PASS gave a good effort and had no excuse. ORATORY, forced to take up when caught in the crowding caused by CRACKLETTE during the stretch run, failed to recover. ALDENSON was outrun. LAUREL SPRINGS went to the front early, sei the pace for a half mile while engaging MAKE A NOTE, but had nothing left for the drive. FAUCHELEVENT, forced wide at the initial turn, failed to recover. TRIP LIGHTLY bore out on the first turn, forcing FAUCHELEVENT and ETERNAL SHOCK to the outside, then could not reach serious contention. FIGHTING IKE began fast, but drifted out badly at the initial turn, losing all chance. ETERNAL SHOCK, roughed at the first turn, failed to recover. BATED BREATH took command early, raced with WHIFFENPOOF throughout, reached the front during the drive and held on gamely to finish on equal terms with the latter. BLACK BANTAM raced evenly in a sharp effort and had no mishap. GULF STREAM, on the outside during the last three-eighths mile, could not get to the leaders when set down through the stretch. MY NELL was outrun. RADICAL could not keep up. MAD HARE raced wide and was never dangerous. BAY BLOOM could not keep up. MIKEABY was through early. HURRY-SKURRY was far back the entire trip. BLACK RACER, never far back, went to the front approaching the, stretch, responded to strong handling during the drive and won going away. FLY LELIA took an early lead, bore out at the turns when her riders saddle slipped, then held on well through the stretch, but could not get to the winner. The stewards disqualified FLY LELIA and placed her last for interfering with HAPPY QUEEN at the turns. The latter, forced wide leaving the upper turn and entering the stretch by FLY LELIA, closed well when straightened for the drive. GOOD TIMES lacked early foot, but finished well under punishment.
