Royal Charger Due Monday NEW YORK, N. Y., Aug. 29. Royal Charger, the Irish stallion who will stand at stud for an American syndicate at Spendthrift Farm, Lexington, Ky., will arrive here by air from Shannon Monday afternoon. The cargo plane carrying him and Norseman, a French stallion who will accompany him to Kentucky, is due at Idlewild Airport at 4 p.m. EDT , and will be met by Leslie Combs, master of Spendthrift. It is expected that Royal Charger will be stabled in the Maine Chance Barn at Belmont Park until Norseman passes through quarantine, and then the pair will be shipped together to Spendthrift.
