COLD COMMAND, a sharp factor from the beginning, assumed a clear lead entering the stretch and, though tiring slightly during the late stages, held KASTER safe. The latter held sway to the final turn while on the outside of the winner, lost command thereafter, but appeared to be coming again slightly during the concluding strides. G. R. PETERSEN raced evenly from the three-furlong marker to the stands without mishap. BEGORRA, slugish to begin, lacked the necessary rally. SANDTOP never was dangerous. NO SCORE was outrun. PASATIEMPO was unable to keep up. Overweight No Score, 1 pound. i I I EIGHTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES. Sun Briar, Aug. S, 1919-1:50-4-128. Purse ,000. 3-ytar-cids, OA 9 9 Claiming. OFF AT 6:09 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. BLUE DANDY, unhurried when outrun early, forged to the front leaving the final turn, gave way momentarily to DOVER DOLL entering the stretch and, though drifting out steadily during the final furlong, regained command and outgamed the latter. DOVER DOLL drifted out extremely wide on the upper turn, gained a slight lead at the furlong marker, then held on determinedly in a sharp effort. IN THE VAN moved up menacingly after being straightened for the drive, but weakened when punished. ADAR quit. PRINCE TIP, forced to take up sharply when blocked at the three-furlong marker, failed to recover. WHIRLS BELL was through early. ZOP was never a threat. ROSALEEN gave way suddenly after a half mile. CHUM tired badly after showina brief speed. Overweight Whirls Bell, 1 pound; Rosaleen, 1. Attendance, 12,478; Total Mutuel Pool, 35,535.
