Stewards Rulings DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 19.— The board of stewards recommended to the Michigan Racing Commission and commissioner James H. Inglis approved the following: "James King be suspended 10 racing days from Monday, June 21 through Thursday, July 1, inclusive, for rough riding in the second race Thursday, June 17, 1954. "Apprentice Owen Headley be suspended 10 racing days from Monday, June 21 through Thursday, July 1, inclusive, for rough and careless riding in the second and fifth races Thursday, June 17, 1954. "Apprentice Albert Blache be suspended 10 racing days from Monday, June 21 through Thursday July 1, inclusive, for rough riding in the second race Thursday, June 17, 1954." ROCKINGHAM PARK, Salem, N. H., June 19. — By order of the stewards, jockey Claude Hooper is suspended 10 racing days June 19-June 30 incl. for careless riding during the running of the third race, June 17th. HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June ~ 19.— Cecil Willingham, who holds a license as both a trainer and a jockeys agent, has been suspended by the Hollywood Park board of stewards for the alleged possession of a hypodermic syringe and eight needles. He has been banished from the track for the remainder of the meeting and his case has been referred to the California Horse Racing Board. Willingham is held hi violation of racing Rule 1863 which states that it is illegal to possess, on track property, drugs, stimulants or appurtenances for • their administration. The hypodermic syringe and the needles were reported to have been found in his automobile. They were discovered when he was arrested by the Inglewood police on a drunk driving charge. Although he held a trainers license, Willingham had no horses in his charge at the time of his arrest. He was acting as agent for jockey Ralph Neves, who, however, is in no way involved in Willinghams trouble. Neves has dismissed Willingham and his new agent is Sam Swartzberg. THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 19. — The ThistleDown stewards issued the following ruling here todays "Jockey Robert Majors is this flay suspended for reckless riding in the second race on Friday, June 18, 1954, suspension to be effective June 21 to June 30th." WATERFORD PARK, Chester, W. Va., June 19.— The stewards issued the following ruling here today: "On the report of the chemist representing the West Virginia Racing Commission, that the urine test on the horse Belmont Belle, winner of the first race Saturday, June 12th, disclosed the presence of a drug of the nature of procaine and pursuant to i Rule 277 trainer H. C. Allnutt and the horse Belmont Belle are suspended for six months June 19th. The case referred to West Virginia Racing Commission for any further action they deem necessary. During the term of his suspension trainer H. C. Allnutt is denied the privileges of the grounds. The purse is hereby redistributed as follows: j "Aohtra, first; Flushed", second; I Lefty Clarke, third; Vojean, fourth. The pavi-niutuel betting on the race is in no way affected." j
