MASTERWIND saved ground while racing within striking distance of the leader to the stretch, took command during the drive and lasted to withstand WISENHEIMER. The latter gradually worked way forward, closed strongly under punishment and was getting to the winner at the finish. STAG raced evenly to the stretch, drifted out entering the stretch, then finished determinedly in a good effort. CONNIE-JO began fast, raced with SILENCE for a half mile but had nothing left for the drive. MASTERSON lacked early speed. LITTLE DOC was outrun. SILENCE went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch while engaging CONNIE-JO, then gave way. SON AL raced wide. WAR DANGER was never prominent. BETSY MARIE was through early. RICKSHAW showed nothing. POTTERAC, forwardly placed from the start, responded readily when set down through the stretch and disposed of FINE FIDDLE in the last sixteenth. The latter went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, but was unable to withstand the winner. RAYS PRIDE saved ground throughout, but could not better his position when set down in the drive. HYPOSTYLE failed to rally when hard ridden through the stretch. GREY GRANITE had no excuse. CURRENT NEWS, rank at the post, delayed the start, began alertly but failed to stay after showing early speed. SUN CROWN began sluggishly and raced wide. GOLD FLASH had early foot. MISS OXFORD, smartly handled, took command early, set the pace to the stretch while engaging TWO-DUCKS, momentarily gave way to the latter during the drive, then came again under vigorous urging and was up in the last stride. TWO-DUCKS, a keen factqr from the start and saving ground throughout, reached the lead during the stretch run, but was unable to withstand MISS OXFORD and just missed. ROYAL BONES could not better his position when set down in the drive. FOREVER HI was outrun. BIG POP tired after showing early speed. SIR TINT began fast, raced well to the stretch, then weakened. The latter lacked early speed, bore out entering the stretch, then finished delerminedty under punishment, but could not get to the top one. GAYLON, forced wide entering the stretch, could not get to the leaders when straightened for the drive. PARLOR PINK, outnih to the stretch, closed strongly. COLS DAUGHTER,-much used, engaging MR. EYES IMAGE, well placed from "the outset, took command from JIMMINETTY after five-eighths mile, was ridden out through the stretch and won going away. JIMMINETTY went to the front at once, was unable to withstand EYES IMAGE, but held on determinedly to best the others. BE-MI-DEAR lacked early speed, but finished fairly well under punishment.
