INSULATION wrested the lead from EFFIE W. after going a quarter and, withstanding a challenge from WATCH7 TOY in the stretch, drew away in the final fifty yards. LADY RIDGEWELL broke well, but was unable to keep up, then dropped back when in close quarters around the far turn, was unable to find an opening when moving in the stretch, but eventually got through to finish well. EFFIE W. had something removed setting the pace, but went fairly well to the end. WATCH TOY weakened after challenging for the leadership an eighth out. TORDAR, badly outrun early, finished well. MUNCHAUSEN went to the front at once, but was unable to keep up with the pace, then came strongly in the stretch to war down JOVIAL and best him in the drive. JOVIAL dashed to the front on the outside after leaving the backstretch, ancf opened up nearing the stretch turn to save ground in the stretch, but was unable to resist the winner. PRINCE ERIC saved ground where possible and raced well to the end. SPEED ROUSER showed good early foot and was bothered slightly after entering the stretch. INTELLIGENT rushed up on the outside nearing the stretch turn, but faded in the final furlong. Scratched— 202893 Sweet Josie, 112. BILL BOY. was saved for a half mile, then came forward strongly and, moving on the outside of ERRARD BEAU in the last eighth, wore him down to win going away. ERRARD BEAU was rated close to the pace of PSYCARY to the stretch, then took a short lead to save ground, but was not good enough. FLEET ACE was unable to keep up with the pace and went rather wide in the stretch, ELEVENPOINT finished fairly well. PSYCARY tired. The others were outpaced. Elevenpoint claimed by Mrs. W. J. SUGAR SUE was closest to COCOA AL to the stretch turn, then had no troubletaking command and met with little opposition, although ridden out at the finish. MENTHAPPY finished steadily under urging. SOOCRU broke well, but soon dropped far back of the pace, then moved mildly on the inside nearing the stretch turn, was eased momentarily when straightened out for home, then did some running when too late. MYSTIC CHIEF dropped far out of it early and was never a factor in a dull effort. GOOD CALL was held under restraint not too far from the pace until the stretch was reached, then moved strongly on, the outside and bestedf MIMI MINE in the final drive. MIMI MINE was also in slight reserve early and responded readily in the stretch to take a short lead but was unable to resist the winner, although best of the others. SPUR ON came with good courage in the stretch and was racing well at the finish. GALA FETE headed OH LEO when ready and had speed to midstretch, then began to weaken. KNIGHTS REWARD went wide on the stretch turn. FUTURAMATIC was in rather tighth quarters on the inside in the early running. SIR MANGO had enough speed out of the gate to obtain a good position early and, following the pace closely under restraint, came to the outside after entering the stretch to move and catch ARAB ACTRESS and draw out easily in the last sixteenth. RUHE was some distance back in the first half mile, but responded well when urged to finish fast and gamely and be up in the last stride to finisfi even with ARAB ACTRESS. The latter was closest to SEA 0 ERIN while the latter was making the pace and, heading him after entering the stretch, displayed good courage in the final drive. PRECIOUS STONE trailed early and closed considerable ground in a good effort. HEUTEL, while not threatening for the leadership, ran a steady race. BLUE DARE made up ground. ROYAL BAY GEM was badly outrun to the stretch, but was going gamely at the end. SEA 0 ERIN opened up a good early" lead and went well for seven furlongs, then began to tire. WISE MARGIN was fairly prominent early, but tired, in the stretch. MISTER BLACK tired after going jtx -furlongs. RESPLENDENT went to the front soon after the siart and, showing fine speed, was not threatened by DICKS FUTURE in the early running, but was ridden out at the end when MONTENEGRIN loomed up. The latter was outpaced to the stretch, then went wide, but came fast in the last eighth and was gaining rapidly. THUNDERBIRD went evenly all the way in a creditable effort. HEREDITY was going gamely at the finish. PAGE OF ROSES was badly outrun the first part, but colsed some ground. DICKS FUTURE was unable, to get to the front and tired badly in the last furlong.
