SECOND REQUEST was never too far away from the early leaders and, saving ground entering the "stretch, moved up fast to take a good lead, but was required to do his best near the end to withstand the closing bid of LOVIN LADY. The latter was outrun to the stretch, then came strongly on the outside and was gaining. CARLS ABBIE also improved her position in the stretch and was racing well at the end. LADY DEKOVER had something removed racing with MARCY GIRL and had little left. WARM ACE had early speed, but bore out badly around the stretch turn. MARCY GIRL tired badly after going six furlongs. - * Overweight— Lovin Lady, 2 pounds; Carls Abbie, 3; Lady Dekover, 1; Ricoto, 2. Second Request claimed by A. Graffagnini.
