Two Stakes This Week At Ak-Sar-Ben Course Run Brandeis Memorial Saturday, Witfi Futurity Set for Friday ByJ. R. BATTY Staff Correspondent AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 19. — Next week here during five days of racing — Monday will be idle — a stake race for seasoned campaigners and an allowance stakes for juveniles will be the main attractions. On Saturday, June 26, the George Brandeis Memorial Handicap will be the principal offering and this ,100 added event closed to nominations yesterday with 11 candidates being named. Weights for this one and a sixteenth miles race, which will have its seventh running, will be released on Tuesday. On Friday, June 25, the program will be headed by the Ak-Sar-Ben Futurity, designed for Nebraska foaled two-year-olds. This dash of five furlongs carries an added money purse of ,575. Entries will be made at the usual time of closing on Thursday for the Futurity. Nominations to the, George Brandeis Memorial follow: Andromeda, Mac, Equi-chall, Open Heir, Lefty James, Gunner Lad, Hiram Jr., Just Judy, Butch K., Calloway K and Rose Beam.
