REEDY CREEK, in hand and kept within striking distance of the pace, moved on the inside to take the lead before a mile, drew out and was kept going along the inside to save enough to withstand the rally of CELT 0~ERIN. The latter was roused after a mile, gained steadily, but was not good enough. FIRST ONE alternated in setting the pace for a mile and weakened when :hallenged, going evenly thereafter. SWEET SIGRID failed to respond when put to pressure, retired after a mile. The others were never prominent. Overweight— Reedy Creek, 3 pounds; Celt o Erin, 5; Quatrefoil, 2. Celt o Erin claimed by H. PHANTOM LUCK lacked a rally from his position on the extreme outside. JACKS NEEN had no mishap. JAKABLOM was never prominent. PAULINE GROSS was unable to keep up.
