BOLD GUESS went to the front at once and, saving ground while making the pace, continued well, although headed by FULGENT an eighth out and outfinished the latter. FULGENT was always closst to the leader and challenged boldly after entering the stretch to get her nose in front, but was unable to last. BALAS GEM made a good move nearing the stretch turn, but faltered in the final drive. EDENITE was a fairly good contender all the way. RITE-ONE went to the front at once and drew out, from DEPTH BOUND after going a quarter, then withstood a mild chalienge from EDUCATE on the stretch turn, but was all out at the end to hold HY-PATCH. The latter lacked the early speed to keep up and went wide in the stretch, but finished fast in the middle of the track and just failed to get up. KAYO KID improved his position under urging and was racing well at the end. EDUCATE weakened after making a good move nearing the stretch turn; TOURAINE was always outrun. INDIAN SERF moved up on the inside nearing the stretch turn, but was in close quarters and dropped back in the stretch. DEPTH BOUND tired badly. PREPOSTEROUS was close to the pace from the start, look command nearing the stretch turn, but lost the leadership through going very wide on the stretch turn, then regained command after entering the last furlong, but was doing his best to hold SCREEMIN JACK. The latter began rather slowly and was outrun to the stretch, then came strongly to find an opening and was "gaining on the winner. BLUE LICKS closed much ground and was racing fast at the finish. THE EAGLE was close to BLUE DARE while the latter was making the pace and, taking command when ready on the backstretch, drew into a long lead entering the stretch and was taken in hand in the last fifty yards. BLUE DARE showed good speed and raced gamely to the finish. LORIDALE closed well. ABBE STING saved ground when moving and was going strongly at the finish. STAN was outrun early, but made up some ground in the strtch. DANCE NSING tired. The ethers were outpacd. LOTASMOKE WAS INJURED IN THE STARTING GATE AND ORDERED WITHDRAWN.
