George D. Widners Evening Out, another Distaff candidate, had all her speed as she skipped three furlongs in :35 this morning. C. V. Whitneys Whitewash, a likely outsider in tomorrows featured Putnam Purse, went a handy half in :47 this morning. Greentree Stables Palm Tree, who is eligible to the Edgemere Handicap .at a mile and one furlong a week from Saturday, turned in another of his frequent good trials this morning, stepping five furlongs in 1:00 in handy style. It was at Aqueduct that Palm Tree ran his best race last year, finishing only a length behind Over on the slower training track, Alfred G. Vanderbilts three-year-old filly, Sometime Thing, who may start in the Distaff Handicap, went six furlongs in 1:18. At Aqueduct, Woodley Lane Farms good juvenile, Reneged, worked five furlongs in 1:00 with blinkers. The colt, who is a candidate for next Wednesdays Tremont Stakes, stepped the fractions in :35 and :47.
