CELERITER, slower than usual to get underway, raced wide while attaining prominence rounding the first turn, rapidly established a clear lead along the backstretch and was kept to a drive. KING MOWLEE responded when urged but failed to menace the winner. NIGHT RAID raced evenly. SIGNOR SAM M. was unable to attain a forward position. PRIAMS SPECIAL gave way badly after racing for the early advantage. WISE MIKE was outrun. MACOMEN was the leader briefly and then flattened out. SECOND RACE 6 FURLONGS out of chute. ADMIRAL, hard pressed for the early advantage, drew clear after disposing of MAJO in the early stretch, then lasted over GOING BIG. The latter was sluggish early, raced wide and -was wearing down the top one. MAJO raced for command into the stretch and then faltered. GENTLE KNOCK raced evenly. ATTEND SIR was outrun. STAR BOXER was a factor for a half and weakened. SIR DUSTY gave way badly, as did RAISE THE ROOF.
