My Beau to Make U. S. Bow Today Ruhe Accompanies Irish-Bred on Turf Hasty House Pair Competes With King, Mr. Prosecutor, No Return in Balmoral Test "WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., June 16. The Iron Mask Handicap, ,000 six-furlong grass feature for tfiree-year-olds and up, will top Fridays eight-race card as the Balmoral Jockey Club swings into its final two days of racing -at Washington Park. Ten turf runners were named for the Iron Mask, headed by the Hasty House twosome of Ruhe and My Beau, the latter an Irish-bred colt making his American debut. High weight of 121 pounds will be carried by Clover Leaf Farms King. Others and their weights are Reverie Knoll Farms Mon-Pharo, 117; Greenacres Stock Farms Mr. Prosecutor, 116; Armer-Nail Stables Deb Chaser, 115; Ruhe, 114; My Beau, 113; G. R. Whites Lucky William, 112; Valley View Farms Eternal Frolic, 110; Oldehove-Regnave Stables Hi Billee, 107;- and William and Tom Stewarts Umbrella Man, 106. King, making his fourth Balmoral start, is winless this year in seven outings, al-Saturday. It was a six-furlong effort won Saturday. It was six-furlong effort won by Sun David. Earlier, King went unplaced in both the Continental Turf handicap and the Citation test. Mon-Pharo has started only once this year, running seventh in a Balmoral grass sprint won by Mr. Prosecutor. Last year the gelding won only two of sixteen starts but amassed earnings over 7,000. Wilt Try fro Emulate Summer Solstice My Beau will try to emulate his stable-mate Summer Solstice, who used Balmorals grass oval to make his American racing debut a winning one. My Beau, a three-year-old, last year scored a pair of wins in four starts in Ireland, the Nunthorpe Stakes and the Phoenix Plate. The Beau Sabreur Queens Caprice colt has worked impressively for his debut. Mr. Prosecutor comes into the Iron Mask off a nose victory here June 2, at six furlongs on the grass. It was the first win the Occupation cohVhas notched since 1952. Earlier this meeting Mr. Prosecutor ran fourth in a six-furlong dirt race won by Betsy T. Deb Chaser will be making his first grass effort. He finished eleventh in the Citation, but earlier garnered third place in a sprint won by Munchausen. He has not visited the winners enclosure since April 25 at Sportsmans Park, which was his fourth victory in succession. The ageless Ruhe makes his second Balmoral start and his third appearance of the year. Once a great turf competitor, Ruhe this year makes his first grass attempt. He opened the season finishing third in a Churchill Downs sprint, then ran seventh here May 23. The seven-year-old hasnt won since 1953, his most profitable year. He won the Equipoise Mile andran second in the Washington Park Handicap while earning 9,000. Lucky William, making his first Balmoral appearance, has not been postward since May 14 when he finished eighth in a Churchill Downs allowance sprint. He has three wins in seven starts this year, all allowance company. Eternal Frolic also is winless this year in eight starts, although she managed a second and a third in three Balmoral attempts. Hi Billee, making his sixth 1955 appearance, has not started since running eleventh in the La Salle Handicap here opening day. Umbrella Man is winless in six starts this year, including two Balmoral efforts.
