Beanircarried the silks of Mrs. Otto C. Neumann to a rather easy "score in the featured Navanod Purse here this afternoon. The daughter of Nirgal, making her first start of the session, took the track soon after the start and never was headed, winning by two lengths from Cosentina, with Mimi Mine third. The distance was six furlongs, and Beanirs time on a fast track was 1:11. She was well played and paid . Cosentina broke in front, but jockey Dave Erb soon sent Beanir to the fore, and before one-quarter of the distance had been completed she had opened up ah advantage of three lengths. She increased it to four nearing the stretch turn and Erb was never required to call upon her for her very best: Cosentina Tires in Stretch Cosentina, always in second place, strived valiantly in the stretch and was three lengths before Mimi Mine at the end Mimi Mine beat En Fleurby but inches for third place. Others in the event, which carried a ,000 purse, were Outsmart and Siskey and they came to the end in that order. Warm, sunny weather brought out a crowd of 9,877 for the nine-race program and the track was fast for the first time in two weeks. Jockey Steve Brooks, who won with his last three mounts Wednesday, continued his winning streak in piloting the first two winners. He was aboard Olympias Ace an outstanding favorite in the opener, and was on Witch Way, an outsider, in the second. Each runner led for the entire trip and the Daily Double paid 4.40. The eight-year-old, Starecase, a stakes competitor "in his earlier days, proved a front-running victor in the six-furlong fourth race, designed for ,500 platers. The son of Case Ace was hustled along while in front from the start and lasted by a length and a half in 1:12 to return 4.20. Mary E. Cremens Sea Island was second over William Keisers Chanter.
