Owner-Trainer Albert Tomei Has Training License Revoked TORONTO, Ont., May 10. — The Ontario Racing Commission today revoked the training license of owner-trainer Albert Tomei because he struck a horse with a riding crop. The commission also suspended Tomei for 15 days, effective the beginning of this month. The incident occurred at the Fort Erie track April 30 when Tomei struck his horse Marola on the rump and withers with his riding crop shortly before taking it to the paddock for the eighth race. The track stewards immediately suspended Tomei and referred the incident to the racing commission. The commission said that Tomei, having applied since his suspension for an owners license, is granted one effective May 16.
