GOYMENTE held a forward position under restraint, moved strongly entering the stretch on the outside and under punishment was drawing away. PRINCE VILLON rallied on the outside of the winner entering the stretch but was giving way at the finish. ROBERT raced outside the field while improving position, loomed dangerous entering the stretch but hung in the final stages. COMMAND ME was hustled to. a clear lead but was tiring in the final quarter mile. MIGHTY WISH "closed some ground " too late. MISS J. could not reach contention. SECOND RACE 5 FURLONGS out of chute. IN CLASS was within striking distance while racing on the outside, moved strongly .entering the stretch, then assumed command leaving , the sixteenth pole and drew clear. ASH TRAY was restrained behind the leaders, then came between horses entering the stretch and while going willingly could not cope with the winner. EASTER HOUR failed to show her usual speed away from the gate, rushed into a forward position and challenged for command entering the stretch, then tired slightly. HY DANDY, Unhurried while in close attendance to the pace, was sent outside the leaders entering the stretch, gained a slight advantage in midstretch, then lugged in nearing the finish. MR. MARCEY alertly sprinted tothe lead, shook off HOT-CHA in early stretch but could not withstand the winner and while in close quarters at the finish was tiring. The "Objection" sign was posted by the stewards immediately after the race, and after viewing the films the stewards declared it official. HOT-CHA forced the early pace, was in tight quarters between horses entering the stretch *but tired badly thereafter/ ALERT BOY closed a good gap from far back. TOP TAKE was through early. SHARP FLIGHT quickly opened up a clear advantage, drifted slightly wide entering the slretch, was quickly brought back in and staved off the final bid of BESO DEL AIRE. The latter moved up gradually along the inside, saved ground into .the stretch and was getting to the winner. VALIANT SON tired as usual in the stretch run. INHARMONY, not too faf back early while • on the outside, was giving way in the final quarter mile. IVORY NUT saved ground throughout to no avail. RAMBLING STAR gradually raced to the leaders on the extreme outside, moved strongly after straightening away in the stretch and held a clear margin at the * wire. LITTLE CYNTHIA dropped back after breaking alertly, was taken to the inner rail where she saved 5 ground and while going willingly was not good enough. SHAGREEN held a short margin until entering the 2 stretch and while holding on fairly well could not cope with the top pair. MR. LAMPASAS could net keep up O in the stretch run. CLEAR SWEEP saved ground when outrun, reached the lead in midstretch when the leader falCered and was all out to hold off SENOR GRINDOYA. The latter, unhurried early, moved outside entering the stretch and, closing with a belated rush, just missed. SASKATCHEWAN improved position gradually on the outside and was going willingly at the end. TEDS JEEP rushed to command between horses, was allowed to open a wide lead and tired badly in the stretch run. CASSIA, badly outrun early, passed tiring horses. BAYTOWN rushed up along the inside *to reach command, was challenged by THOMAS PEPPER after settling into the stretch, disposed of that one and while drifting out slightly, held on gamely-to just last. DONT FAIL ME; between horses most of the journey, was going strongly and just failed to get up. BIG HEART, moved strongly midway of the backstretch on the outside, was forced to lose ground, throughout while outside horses and showed a sharp performance while narrowly missing. PILOT MODEL, also between horses most of the journey, was in tight quarters through the stretch run and gave ground slowly. GAME IN HAND saved ground to loom a threat entering the stretch but could not menace at the end.
