SO CHEERFUL saved ground while racing evenly to the stretch, responded to strong handling during the drive and, after taking command, won going av/ay. SISSY PUD was outrun early, closed determinedly in the middle of the track, but could not reach the top one. FOUR TRIES was never far back, made a good bid in the early stretch, then weakened. MISS SKIDMORE gave a good performance and had no mishap. TEEKAY had early foot, but failed to stay. BET BUTLER was never prominent KNOBVIEW GAL began fast and made the pace for a half mile, then gave way. JAYNE-BUG began slowly. MRS. A. M. tired. JONTER raced greenly. JOES HONEY could not keep up. GAL TICKS was never far back, saved ground entering the stretch, then was sent between horses during the drive and wore down the leaders in the last strides. PICARENO moved up boldly in the early stretch, then reached the lead between calls near the finish, but could not hold the winner and just missed. BETISE was a sharp factor from the start, then went to the front during the stretch run, but faltered in the last sixteenth. GENTLE STEP had early speed, but weakened during the drive. QUEEN REDBIRD raced evenly. BLUE PARADISE had a rough race. LILLYS STAR began sluggishly. MAYO MISS was used up racing with GENTLE STEP to the stretch-and had nothing left for the drive. LUCKEY PETE, forwardly placed from the start, took command from ABACUS during the stretch run, then lasted to hold FARCUERETTE. The latter saved ground early, remained on the inside for the stretch run and closed fast but could not overtake the top one. ABACUS went to the front early, made the pace until nearing the finish, then faltered. BRUCE lacked early speed and raced wide through the stretch. HERES COLINA tired during the drive. NEVADA JOHN began fast, dropped back after the start, then made a mild bid approaching the stretch but had nothing left for the drive. MONON BRAVE showed little. DARLING DORA tired.
