Vanderbilt Confirms Separation From Wife Amicable Agreement Provides Equal-Custody of Two Children NEW YORK, N. Y., May 10.— Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, millionaire horseman and owner of Native Dancer, confirmed Wednesday that he atod his second wife, the former Jeanne Lourdes Murray, have called it quits. Through a close business associate, Vanderbilt announced that he and his beautiful wife of 10 years, had signed an amicable separation agreement. It calls for them to share the custody of their two children, Heidi, 7, and Alfred Jr., 6. The agreement, which contains financial provisions for the children, was signed January 14, it was learned. Subsequently, the weil-known turfman moved out of their apartment at 820 Fifth Ave., into a co-operative apartment at 470 Park Ave., which he recently purchased. The Vanderbilts have no immediate plans for a divorce, according to close friends who say the separation was the result of the couples divergent interests. Vanderbilt announced Tuesday that he was cutting down on his jacing activities to give more time to the World Veterans Fund of which he is the international president.
