BALAKLAVA II. was reserved until the final quarter 3! mile, then moved up with a rush on the extreme outside to overtake the leaders, drew clear and was taken — in hand while racing greenly. BUSY HARVEST was roused early to remain close to the pace, saved ground on 0 the turn and got to the front nearing the final furlong pole, but was no match for the winner. SUPPER MONEY, steadied when outrun, moved up entering the stretch, but was forced to take to" the outside of u£es at the furlon9 P°,e and continued on gamely. OLYMPIA JET assumed command at once, was hard held on the turns and weakened in the late stages. JUMPING BROOK was close up under light urging, then moved closer to the pace leaving the backstretch and weakened slightly in the drive. JUJITSU v/as forced ■ to take up tp prevent running up on horses heels nearing the half mile pole and failed to recover in time to menace. CHARDEEJON v/as outrun. BURMA CHARM moved alertly from the start, but was caught in a Jam — leaving the backstretch and forced to take up sharply and was eliminated. COMBAT FLEET assumed command at once, dominated r u*?fce throu9nout» then drifted out on the final turn and was straightened and continued on gamely to hold -CHANCE DEB. -The latter showed good speed to remain with the pace and was forced to lose ground when the leader went out, but kept on stride and was pressing to the end. COMBUSTION II. moved up on the outside to engaged the- leaders after six furlongs, but was forced very wide and failed to regain lost ground. MORE APPS was steadied close to the pace, benefitted as the leader went wide and had a lear path along the inside, then drew almost even for command and faltered. GOLD BELL II. had no mishap. ALSAY raced wide while making a late bid. BLAZING ROCKET weakened. The others were outrun. The rider of CHANCE DEB claimed a foul against the winner which was disailowed.
