Retain Breeding Operations At Northridge, Ryana Farms NORTHRIDGE, Calif., May 10.— Re-affirming the previous announcement, both Northridge Farms, on Devonshire, and Reseda Blvds., and Ryana Ranch, on Balboa Ave., here, will continue to operate as breeding, boarding and training centeTsvfor thoroughbreds. This was the word today from J. H. Ryan, operator of the famed San Fernando Valley .farms._ "Since announcing the dispersal sale of our thoroughbred holdings, except for the stallions," Ryan explained, "we have been besieged by inquiries whether Northridge and Ryana would be closed. Nothing could be further from the intention of myself, Mrs. Ryan, Miss Mary Strand and Mrs. Rosemary R. Jordan. "Both farms will continue to operate as usual, even, though the mares, yearlings and racing stock owned by myself and associates will be sold at public auction at Northridge -Farms on Monday, June 25," Ryan said. Among stallions at the farms and expected, to stand the 1957 season are Blue Reading, Apple Valley — both homebreds raised at the farm which have wron well over 00,000 each — the famed Reading II., Call Bell, Royal Rage, Mafosta and Quick Wink. |
