Greater Akron Purse Draws Field of Eight Like Challa Seeks Repeat Win at Ascot; Lills Pill Well Fancied ASCOT PARK. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. [ May 13. — The Greater Akron Purse, a seven-furlong test for sophomers exclu-1 sively holds the spotlight on Tuesdays card here at Ascot Park. The eight who have accepted the issue represent some of the more consistent of their sort stabled on the grounds ind include M. W. Crocks Oleslea, H. C. Hustons Zill, J. Cachia and R. Cunnings Money Maker, Audley Farms Should We, G. R. Whites Like Challa, R. W. Mahans Superb Bob, Mrs. B. Korings Steppin Night and the Ypsi-Bee Farms Lils Pill. Like Challa graduated from the maiden ranks here April 26 in an event designee for non-winners of the same age group Jockey C. Landers had him four length.-the best of his closest rival, the Ypsi-Be Farms Thats Papa. The additional half furlong of this event could be well suitec; for a repeat performance as he came from off the pace for that score. His work, however, will be cut out for him. as it were. Lils Pill has been racing consistently and has finished second while in with some of the more impressive performers at this meeting. In a recent essay, the Bolero filly * finished second to E. F. Lovelaces Tina Dream. The occasion was in the running of j the Bob White Purse and she was beaten only a half length for it all. Stepping Night was in her wake, just a length and one-quarter back and will also-receive support in this events
