. __ Topweights to Seek Mr. Fitz Handicap Cedrus, Ricci Tavi Likely To Concede Gray Phantom, Others Poundage at Pimlico By PALMER HEAGERTY PIMLICO. Baltimore, Md., May 13.— Christiana Stables Ricci Tavi, Cedar Farms Cedrus and Norman B. Hunts Master Boing have been assigned 121 pounds each for Fridays running of the 5,000 added Mr. Fitz Handicap. Three pounds below the trio, in the estimation of racing secretary and handicapper J. Fred Colwill are Christianas Thinking Cap and Wheat-ley Stables Gray Phantom, each of whom is burdened under 118 pounds for the test of a mile and three-sixteenths. There is a strong possibility that trainer Henry Clark -will start both Ricci Tavi and Thinking Cap for the establishment of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lunger. Ricci Tavi, who last season won the Leonard Richards. Saranac and Exterminator, has been post-ward twice this spring, winning in 1:10?.-, for the fastest six furlongs of the Laurel meeting, then finishing second behind Hel-fast at Garden State in a well run mile and a sixteenth. Thinking Cap, who accounted for the Stymie and Merchants and Citizens last year, has yet to launch his 57 campaign but has trained steadily and should be ready for a top effort at first asking. Bred by Bromleys Cedrus. a son of Warlock — Cedar Lary who was bred by Mr. and Mrs. John Bromley, owners of the Cedar Farm establishment, joined the list of stakes winners recently with his triumph in the Laurel, in which the vastly improved Kingmaker, winner of the Grey Lag on Saturday, was among the also-rans. He, too, has trained satisfactorily since that effort and there is every reason to believe that he will accept his assignment, which is more than can be said of Master Boing. There also is a possibility that Cedrus will have a running mate in Roslyn Farms Go Lightly, who gets in the race under 114 pounds. Gray Phantom, who is conditioned by Sunny Jim" Fitzsimmons, for whom the race is named, is on the grounds, having been shipped here with the Preakness stalwart. Bold Ruler. Quite naturally, Mr. Fitz would like nothing better than to win this race, that is, unless it would be for Bold Ruler to emerge victorious in the Preakness on the following afternoon. Gray Phantom, who was second behind Bardstown in the Tropical Handicap, comes off a winning effort at Jamaica. Other probable starters at this time include: Cockfield Stables Akbar Khan, who on Saturday won the Dixie Handicap over the turf, 112: Brandy wine Stables Counterman. 110; North Down Farms Stables Momus. 109. and possibly one or two others. The complete list of Mr. Fitz Handicap weights follows: Horse. Wt. Cedrus . 121 Master Boing 121 Ricci Tavi ■ 121 Gray Phantom 118 Thinking Cap 118 Go Lightly 114 Mighty Chief 114 First Aid 113 Akbar Khan 112 Selingsgrove 112 Horse. Wt.
