LA TURBIE, unhurried while being outrun early, saved ground to the final turn where she was forced to come out for the drive and, while swerving under the whip in the stretch, she wore down BUYING TIME in the closing strides. The latter forced the early pace while in hand, displaced LEW MAY for the lead when ready and, in a long drive, just failed to last. NONE BARRED was bumped about at the start and raced evenly thereafter. NORDAL found his best stride too late. LEW MAY stopped badly after showing speed for a half mile. MISS TELEPHONE, forced out at the start, remained wide thereafter and, while unable to menace the winner, she was clearly best of the others. SKIPPYS JOY passed only tiring horses while finishing on even terms with RIDGEWISE. The latter was forwardly placed for a little over a quarter mile and tired badly. The latter had his speed, saved ground and held on stubbornly in a long drive. MISS MELODY found her best stride too late TASA loomed boldly in the early stretch but could not sustain her move. REUNE lost all chance when shuffled back at the start, clipping another horses heels and stumbled badly. TOLD YOU SO broke sharply lo the inside and lugged in badly through the initial sixteenth.
