New Centennial Record A whopping new "win" payoff went into the record books at Centennial Race Track when overlooked GerryS Bud won the second race on July 12, 1956. Owned by L. V. Peck of Denver, Gerrys Bud went off at 90-to-l and just barely won over Pluver to return 90.40 for each win ticket. The 11-year-old paid 6.80 to place and 9.40 to show. This was the biggest win payoff in Centennials history, the previous high being recorded by Zemitis, 26.80 on July 23, 1953.
