NSHA Announces Dates For Fall Hunt Meetings Schedule Follows Closely Pattern Arranged During Past Few Years NEW YORK, N. Y., May 31.-Fall dates for hunt meetings were announced yesterday by Howard C. Fair, chairman of the hunts committee of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association. The schedule follows closely the pattern of the past few years with the fall season opening with the two-day meeting at Fair Hill, Md., site of the famed three-mile Fox-catcher National Steeplechase on September 7 and 14. Pari-mutucl betting Is fea-turned at this meeting. The Essex Fox Hounds meeting follows one week later, on September 21, at Far Hills, N. J., featuring the testing -New Jersey Hunt Cup over four miles of post and rails. The racing scene then shifts to Rolling Rock, 50 miles east of Pittsburgh on Wednesday, October 2 and Saturday, Octobers. The top race of this meeting is the ,000 added International Gold Cup, richest steeplechase of the year on the hunt meeting circuit. After a lapse of one week, four successive Saturdays brings hunt racing to Rose Tree, near Philadelphia, Pa., on October 19, followed by Red Bank, N. J., on October 26; the Virginia Fall Race Meeting at Middlcburg, Va., on November 2, and the years finale, Montpelier, Va., on November 9. The dates follows: Foxcatcher Hounds, Fair Hill, Maryland, Saturday, September 7 and Saturday, September 14. Essex Fox Hounds Race Meeting Association, Far Hills, New Jersey, Saturday, September 21. Rolling Rock Hunt Racing Association, Ligonier, Pennsylvania, Wednesday, October 2 and Saturday, October 5. Rose Tree Fox Hunting Club, Media, Pennsylvania, Saturday, October 19. Monmouth County Hunt Racing Association, Red Bank, New Jersey, Saturday, October 26. Virginia Fall Race Meeting, Middleburg, Virginia, Saturday, November 2. Montpelier Hunt Races, Montpelier Station, Virginia, Saturday, November 9. - i - -
