CHOOSY, alertly handled, took command at once, saved ground while engaging VOLLEY to the stretch, settled for the drive with a clear lead and retained a clear margin to the finish while under brisk urging. ROLLICK, a .sharp factor from "the outset, drifted out at the stretch turn, closed determinedly when straight for the drive but could not reach the winner. VOLLEY raced nearest CHOOSY until inside the stretch, thtn faltered. CHUBO, never far back, bore out at the final turn and failed to rally after straightened up for the stretch run. HONEY ANN was never dangerous. SUPERB had no" excuse. GOLDEN AGE had brief speed. NIBONNY was through early. SA SAEUR showed little. ARAWAY began sluggishly. Overweight Nibonny, 1 pound; Sa Soeur, 3. HANNAHS HILL, forwardly placed throughout, was not good enough for the winner. BETTER BE GAY began fast, displayed early spetd but failed to rally after drifting to the outside at the stretch turn. HUNG UP, on the outside at the final turn, made" a mild bid In the early stretch, then faltered. ATOM ROCKET took an early lead, set the pace until well in side the stretch, then weakened. HELLO JANIE, forwardly placed from the start, reached the lead during the final furlong but was unable to hold the winner. AMAH raced evenly in a good effort and had no mishap. CALOOSA closed fairly well under brisk urging. GOOD SKETCH, away in a tangle, was unable to get to the leaders during the last eighth mile. OJALA had early speed but failed to stay. LITTLE SLAM, outrun early and sent around horsej entering the stretch, closed strongly in the middle of the track, and wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. PILLOW FIGHT raced evenly to the stretch, reached the lead between calls during the drive, but could not withstand the winner. FORWARD LOOK raced evenly for a half mile, then finished strongly under punishment, but could not overtake the top pair. HERE AND THERE began sluggishly, raced wide the entire trip and made up ground during the drive, but could not get to the leaders. BONNET saved ground to the stretch, but failed to rally when set down for the drive. JULEP POINT had early speed, took command during the stretch run, then -weakened. ILLUSIONIST, outrun for a half mile, was sent around horses entering the stretch, took command while racing in the middle of the track and drew clear without need of urging. MILLDEN, never far back, made a bold bid approaching the stretch and could not be perevered with during the drive after his riders saddle slipped, but finished strongly on his own courage. FABULIST, away alertly, dropped back after showing early foot, saved ground at the final turn, but failed to rally when punished during the stretch run. FIRST AID, much used racing with ALIBHAI LASHES for a half mile, reached the lead but had nothing left for the drive. ALIBHAI LASHES gave way after engaging FIRST AID.
