Foe in Clear-Cut Triumph At Audubon Park Course Strideaway and Valley Bold Make Up Successful Daily Double Duo By MEL COHEN AUDUBON PARK, Henderson, Ky., May 31. M. Leones Foe, a seven-year-old Vez-zano-Adversaria gelding, scored a clever two-length victory in the third event of todays program at this picturesque oval near Henderson, Ky., before an estimated crowd of 3,500. Jockey H. Robinson was astride the winner as he negotiated six and one-half f uriQngs over a fast track in 1:23 and returned .00 to his followers as the third choice in the seven-horse field. Favorites failed to score in the Daily Double events, with two of the better paying contenders, M. Knapps eight-year-old Strideaway, a 4.40 chance, coasting home in the first and R. Keiths Valley Bold annexing the second by a five-length margin. The latter rewarded his followers with an .20 mutuel whie completing a Daily Double worth 3.80. Valley Bold was making her third start of the year in her winning essay. The nine-year-old Bold and Bad mare had shown two sharp efforts at the Hamilton, Ohio, oval earlier thi sseason and today she went to the front shortly after the break and drew out to win as her rider, George Steineman, pleased. E. Ingles Dakota Red, a 33-to-l chance, wore down P. Holthaus Master Khan for the place award. Sugar Briar, the 8-to-5 choice, raced dismally and wound up a badly beaten sixth.
