SEFTONS PICK was reserved near the pace, opened a commanding lead when ready and was strongly handled to hold COLONEL KEN safe. The latter raced prominently placed on the outside and finished well. LSCRIPT was vigorously ridden, improving position between horses and finished well. TROUBLE ME easily raced into contention, saving ground on th turn, but tired in the final run. ELLIOTTS DOLL saved, ground. CRONUS showed nothing. TOMFOOLERY pulled up lame. LITTLE DONOTS had to be checked running up behind the leaders on the stretch turn, was-steered into a narrow, opening next to the rail at the head of the stretch and wore down RACER at the end. The latter mover up quickly to join DANDOLO after the start, was eased back while attempting to bear out on the turn, then wrested command in he stretch and fought it out gamely. DANOLO could not shake off contention and weakened. RUINED raced forwardly on the outside and lacked a rally. JO N JO was not a serious threat. NO STALLS raced wide in the drive. RED RIVER VALLEY began well, was no match for the winner, but finished well over the others. VINEY raced on the outside and lacked a rally. DAWN B. could not keep up. MARYS CHIC saved ground racing .with the first flight and gradually disposed of RHODA MAY under strong handly. Tht latter was energetically ridden to be with the first flight from the beginning, drifted out in the drive and weakened. WITH FLASH was pinched back between the leaders midway of the turn, then came again in the final stages. ISAWHIZ was outrun. CHIMNEY sprinted into a clear lead rounding the first turn, swerved while tiring in the stretch, but was not seriously menaced. LATEISH saved ground gradually improving postion, appeared threatening on the .stretch turn, but tired and Just lasted to finish in a dead-heat with RICH ACRES, the latter broke poorly, was blocked and taken around horses improving position in the backstretch, then saved ground closing fast in the drive and was up to dead-heat for place. NORTHQUEST broke alertly, was under light pressure racing to the front at the half-mile, but easily widened on the field and was taken in hand for the finish. FLOTILLA lost ground on the first turn, easily gained the. runner-up position after a half-mile and was clearly best of the others. TEMPO began well and gradually weakened. MOON JET raced on the outside and was outrun. LYNN RIDGE was not a serious factor. THREE CUBS was never prominent. Corrected weight Moon Jet, 117. -Immense claimed by W.
