4 Greek Spy Displays High Turn of Speed Steps Handy Seven-Eighths In 1 :25Vs at Belmont, While Prepping for Metropolitan By BOB HOE WOOD BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 31. Mrs. C. Ulrick Bays Greek Spy, prepping for the 0,000 Metropolitan Mile to be run here a week from Saturday, stepped a handy seven furlongs in 1:25 this morning. Sherrill Wards charge worked alone, ticking off the fractions- in :35, -AlYs and 1:12, last eighth in :13. Mrs. C. George Zauderers Poly Hi, winner of the Rosedale and Fashion Stakes in her last two starts and an eligible to the National Stallion on June 10, breezed an easy mile in :51, indicating that she re-1 tains her good condition. Murcain-Byars Stables Sir Ruler, a son of Nasrullah who is eligible to Wednesdays Juvenile Stakes, showed a high turn of speed this morning when zipping three furlongs in :34 from the gate. Land O Peace in Fast Three Furlongs Darby Dan Farms Land OPeace, who is making his seasonal debut in tomorrows six-furlong fifth race, blew out a handy three furlongs in :34. The Fair Trial four-year-old was eager to run and won at "the first asking last year. "On the training track, "Yorkie" McLeod blew out Murcain-Byars Stables speedy Jedgar Ruler three furlongs in :37 for tomorrows fifth event. George D. Widen-ers improving filly, Teleran, went a half in :50 on the same deep track, while Howell E. Jacksons Tick Tock, who was scratched from yesterdays Carter Handicap, suggested that there was. nothing wrong with him when he went a half in :50 on the mile oval. Over at Aqueduct, Ralph Lowes Gallant Man, who looms an odds-on choice in tomorrows Peter Pan Handicap, breezed three-eighths in :39, going very easily. Mr. Fitz sent Ogden Phipps Glamour and So Chic six furlongs on the same track with the former being much the best. Glamour was clocked in 1:15, while So Chic required 1:16. Mrs. Jules Schwartz Nah Hiss and Mrs. Ethel D. Jacobs Promised. Land blew out at Jamaica for tomorrows Peter Pan. Nah Hiss breezed three furlongs in :37, while Promised Land went a half in :49, also breezing.
