MANTEAU was outrun to the stretch, then came very fast under urging on the outside to catch JET COLONEL nearing the end and was slowly going away from him. JET COLONEL had good early speeed and caught HATIBOUND when ready after entering the last furlong but was unable to resists the winner although hard ridden. HATIBOUND went into a good lead soon after the start, but was no match for the first pair in the drive and was doing his best to save third place. EZGO raced evenly throughout. JET SUB weakened in the last furlong. BETTER BEE failed to offer a threat. PARIAN MARBLE had some early foot. The others failed to figure seriously. Scratched 107461 Kentucky Roman, 126. LEBANON LAD went to the front early to open up a good lead on the backstretch, then saved ground in the stretch, but had to be hard ridden near the end to hold COBBER. The latter trailed in the first part but came fast through the stretch. GAY REAPER also closed some ground in the late stages. AIR ROMANCE was close up to the last furlong and then began to tire.
