Five-Furlong Dash Tops Audubon Park Program North Vixen Expected to Get Call Off Good Race Last Out By MEL COHEN AUDUBON PARK, Henderson, Ky" June 20. — With the inaugural meeting here going into its final days, patrons of the sport are offered a good weekday program of eight races Friday afternoon. Topping the card is a five-furlong dash for three-year-olds and upward for intermediate grade claimers who have not won three races since May 28. The conditions attracted 12 candidates, of whom four were placed on the also eligible list. A. Gilletti Jr.3 North VixeHj a five-year-old daughter of Fighting Fox, appears ad- | vantageously placed here with her light burden of 107 pounds and rates an excellent chance of gaining the major portion of the purse. Her last effort in which she finished fourth to J. Melansons Terrace after being beaten two heads and a nose was a creditable one and points her out in this event. Ritas Babe, a three-year-old filly venturing I against older horses, also merits strong consideration. The miss dropped a a close decision to Oleslea over six and one-half furlongs in her last after racing far in front of her field and faltering only at the end. She appears in excellent form and may give, the top-rated one a hard tussle. Can Gin, D. J. Meyocks entry, finished a creditable second in the muddy going after setting the pace to the final six- teenth. The seven-year-old gelding is seeking his first success of the year and should gain some part of the purse with a fair break in racing luck. Others in the field are H. Speakmans Orbit, J. Kemps Iron Tires, Opal D. Stevens Masked Bull, D. O. Leshers Jo Mah and Mrs. A. Breedloves Tinaja A. The also eligible list is composed of Star Child, Miss Illinois, Misty Eve and Apricot.
