I., June 18. — Three formidable racing stables from Garden State Park were among the arrivals lit Narragansett Park Monday when the barns were opened in preparation for the 24 -day summer meeting which starts June 30 and runs through July 26. Jack Goodwin, Nick Moran and Leonard Hunt were the trainers who bedded down their horses at Narragansett after an over- night van trip from the New Jersey track. Goodwin, who is in the midst of a sue- cessful season with 16 winners already to his credit, brought in nine horses, all re- ported fit and ready. They are Countess Lea, Hackensack, Dash for Cash, None for U., Make Sway, Tarom, Prefect, Baby Rounders and Peterun. Morans horses, who run in the name of the Hillside Stock Farm, are : Long Bow, a double winner at Garden State recently; Marcion, Delong, Road Runner, Big Dome, Telfound, Town Castle, Daunton and Caddys Pet. With the Moran horses came jockey Joe DiLucia, who will do the riding for the stable. Hunt, who saddled the 1950 Providence Sbakes winner, Passemson, brought eight horses, in various ownerships, for the summer meeting. They are Measure Up, Ideal- ist, Eternal Great, Kings Prince and Cri- teria, all older horses, and the two-year-olds, Jules Starn, Florida Flash, and Pass Play. ■i
